This is an awfully happy funeral;
No one's wearing black.
The crowd has left their tears at home;
No one's looking back.
They congratulate the relatives
(who of course don't take offense).
They act like merry party-goers;
Where's their common sense?
As the one they're supposed to be mourning,
my patience is wearing thin.
What horrible respect they show for the dead;
they're seated on the coffin!
Now they've been asked to say a few words,
they're singing and cheering with glee.
What horrible respect they show for the dead,

Is it because I'm a liar?
I've never been honest
But I'll tell the truth if that's what you require.
I feel like I'm being taunted
Left in my cold,
Empty world with the ghosts that make it haunted.
I'm not sure who this amuses
It feels like
I'm making a wish but the shooting star refuses.
Never again will I be this careless
This is a curse;
I
The walls are built from ticking clocks and broken glass
Tick, tock.
The happy times have come to pass.
The walls are built to reach the sky
Tick, tock.
A brick is added with each goodbye.
The walls are built to block them out
Tick, tock.
The glass has grown fogged with doubt.
The walls are built to keep me in
Tick, tock.
Trapped in a game I might never win.
Tick, tock.
Tick, tock.
When can I break this wall of clocks?
